Posted by Alex Ginnsz I made a film titled "Duo" a few years ago while attending NYU film school. "Duo" is about a boy with Down syndrome who falls in love with a violinist and her music. The film won many awards, mainly thanks to the incredible performance of its lead actor, my brother Stephane, who has Down Syndrome. Co-starring as the violinist is Eden Riegel, who was recently nominated for an Emmy Award for her role as Bianca in "All my Children". Duo was entered in the 23rd Student Academy Awards and a finalist at the 1996 Chicago International Children's Film Festival. It was produced with the cooperation of Martin Scorsese and Warner Bros. Pictures. I just finished putting Duo on DVD and it looks and sounds better than ever, now in in Dolby Digital 5.1 and with French and Spanish subtitles! Stephane is doing great. Actually, he just graduated from high-school and got an office job right away!
