I put a photie which my father took of me glued to the box that night, resplendent in glittery 70s party frock recording Donny via the microphone in the tissue box method, in Donny's presentation book which Annie compiled a few years back. It was a great show but it was on quite late - 9pm I think, and by the time I got to the party I had been invited to it was pretty much over. But party or Donny on the telly? - no contest.
Dave New - I came across him I think at the Royal Festival Hall in about 1982 when Donny had just got married. He sent me a bit of gumpf about Don and Patrisha and asked for a contribution of £20 towards postage expenses for sending further stuff and I never heard from him again.
