I guess we all approach these things differently and I don't have a problem with whatever people want to raise here, if they themselves are comfortable with the subject matter. I can see exactly where Martin is coming from as well though!
Sorry to hear that you are having to go under the knife. My only experience of surgery was when I broke my arm badly nearly 30 years ago. I have no recollection other than being put to sleep and then waking up after the op gasping for something to drink (and I don't mean alcohol!) and being pissed off because they would only give me what seemed like a thimbleful when I wanted gallons!!
I didn't like being in hospital. Not that they were anything but caring, I just don't like being told when I can do things. I had about three days there (my one and only stay!) and I am not planning a reservation soon. Is the hospital somewhere near where you are, or do you need to go to Miami or somewhere??
I think it is probably no bad thing that you don't need to wait too long - mine being a accident I only had one night to think about it!
