I know this ain't Don . . . but Loudon Wainwright is amazing too.
This great quality clip shows him recording songs onto his laptop for a project about Charlie Poole, a singer who lived about 100 years ago.
This is the same Loudon who sang 9 years ago

The song - The Letter that never came - was recorded by Charlie in 1927, so not a composition by Loudon.
