In case it doesn't see the light of day there, I also have a comment awaiting moderation on the official site:
Thanks for your further clarification Alan and for making Don aware of our concerns.
I am glad to hear that the CD is selling well. I appreciate that the album probably has a relatively limited production run and therefore a higher per unit cost. However, I have frequently bought CDs from artists who would sell considerably less than Don and I do not recollect having ever paid anything approaching £20!! CDs on Amazon UK seem to sell in approximately the £9 to £12 range so I would have thought £15 (including delivery) for Addicted to Black would be reasonable. I guess ‘The More You Pay, The More It’s Worth’. Maybe we could change the words a little…’my bid was not too bad, £15 was all I had….’
As regards shipping cost, it does seem that the ordering software is geographically challenged as I have experimented both from my house in London (with Sky as my ISP) and from a server in Guildford and both are apparently outwith the UK. I know of others in the UK who have had a similar experience, and have not proceeded with their purchase as a result.
Regards
Bill
PS. It seems that the 'glitch' that caused UK sales to be charged £3.95 postage has now been resolved so at least that is a small victory.
