Well Jo, this might explain things a bit better. Left this on official page...awaiting moderation.
What bugs me is the double, triple, quadruple postage on a tiny CD parcel - in Pounds!!...
Maybe I could be the European distributer....imagine I would be making a lot of money.... It costs between 1.35 and 2.70 to send up to 1kg of CDs around my country. To other European countries it would be between 3 and 3.50 for a large parcel. Hmm, wouldn't it be great for Europe if I started sending them around?
Just to clarify when ordering the CD form Europe, the price is displayed in English Pounds and not in Euros. I dont know why?
The problem here seems to be that the Pound is so weak at the moment. For anybody in Europe, the price is first converted from Dollars into Pounds and then again into Euro. This is what makes it double the price.
It might be a good idea to ship the CDs for the European customers from the US and to display a Euro price. Normally, shipping from the US for a single CD costs around 5. Even if the shipping for a single CD costs $10 (= 7), the price for Addicted to Black would still be 21 instead of 27.75. It sounds a lot fairer to me.
Also, when ordering 2 CDs from the website, the postage and packing price £3.95 doubles? It seems to be very unusual practice to add £ 3.95 to every CD for postage seeing that CDs are very small and cheap to post?
