I am pretty sure that the price that you see is determined by the location of your Internet Service Provider...in the UK you see ££ (and lots of them!) and in the US $$. Not sure about the rest of the world...might not be available at all!!
The practice of pound pricing being the same as dollars is not uncommon, but a bit unusual for a CD. I suspect what is happening is that all the shipping is being done from the US and the extra is to cover those costs.
I don't know what a normal CD goes for in US but I would have thought $20 is high.
I see my posting about it on the official page has been authorised but no-one else seems to have commented.
