Heehee. Thanks everyone for all the nice comments. I have to say I would much rather go and see Donny at a concert hall and not have to sit around watching lots of other rubbish all day. Having said that some Don shows I've been to have been slightly disappointing where it's obvious that he's tired or the audience is like that clip on YouTube, whereas there is no doubt that Don is affected by the atmosphere and the fact that the crowd were basically very enthusiastic (no problem if he forgot the words to AP coz the audience were singing as loud as Don) definitely affected his mood and he was obviously in good spirits and turned out a good performance as a result.
I shouldn't call all the other stuff rubbish because some of it was not at all bad. I particularly enjoyed hearing Andy Fairweather Lowe sing "Wide Eyed and Legless" as I love that song even though it reminds me of having the flu in 1976 when I first left home to live in London and caught everything that was going.
. Amazing how a song can take you instantly back to a certain moment in time.
Ralphie didn't seem overly confident about the European tour happening next year Neil so all we can do is some cryin', waitin' and hopin'. We were certainly lucky to have Don come to the UK 2 years running. I don't think I can ever remember that happening before.
