No I didn't see the female statue largely because i had never heard of it until I saw the posting here. it certainly wasn't in my guidebook (3.50 euros from all average bookshops). Maybe Bill N and Ross can track it down when they go to Brussels at the weekend.
Anyway,I wandered over to the square this evening. it is large but not huge. A large church dominates one side and the other sides have 3 or 4 storey buildings with mostly cafes with street seating on the ground level. I think you would lke it Hannah!!
The stage is quite large and high, similar in size and style to that at the Midland festival in Ireland in 2006 (that will probably only mean much to SJ and Han).
Had a leisurely meal and a beer in the square and kept my eyes peeled for Don and the band but saw nothing. I can't imagine they won't arrive in Europe till tomorrow but maybe they are staying in London or Brussels.
