Posted by Nick Akrivos on 10/30/2005, 4:23 am, in reply to "Ithink we can decide for ourselves religious right people" It is indeed the choice of the parents to not like these things. However, when they try to shield their kids from a 'immoral' song, film or whatever, I find that ridiculous, especially because almost off of these so-called 'immoral' things are utterly harmless. Of course it varies in some cases. Parents not allowing their kds to play or watch a violent, adult-rated computer game or film, even while mostly harmless to a ten-year-old, is fine. I don't agree with it, but I can certainly understand it. But when it's a song, then that really is crossing the line into total ridiculousness. But I could rant all day on that. Basically: even if they have the right to shield their kids from 'immoral' things, I don't believe they should, apart from in those cases of extreme violence/porn etc to ten-year-olds. Something keeping Disney away from children is just beyond stupid. Although most amusing. --Previous Message--

Unquestionably, when these guys try and push their belifes on others (especially on a mass sale) they are absolutely wrong.
