Man, I've been on 12 mile tracks that took 10 hours to walk in the middle of the south Texas summer heat. 500 yards and starting with a visual of the target is cake in balmy England. I've been on 6 mile tracks in the dead of night that lead to a shooting. I've had tracks where the dog lost the ground scent and just walking around air scenting led me to other bad guys. There are more stories to tell. I guess we just have different experiences in working dogs.
