If that were a child, I wonder if people would still be wanting to "free Max". The dog should be put down. A child walks up to that dog and goes to hug/kiss it, that child will lose a face or worse. Kids do things like that. I wouldn't trust this dog around people and definitely not around children. My dogo takes it upon herself to "nip" someone to deal with a situation, especially when I'm sitting right there, that's the end of it for her.
Just my opinion.
