My son-in-law ( Nick ) works in the oilfield or should I say Gas field and work long hours and rarely has any time off. Well after working 27 straight days he finally had a couple days off and he wanted to go hog hunting. So we loaded up and headed out right after dark. We dropped the dogs around 10 pm and started hunting. hunted for about 2 hours and my YBMC , Lilly, struck . I turned my Boots dog and my 9 month old pup that I got from Herchiel , Zack , to her and they were off to the races. This was the first hog that zack has been on in the woods and he hung with them for almost half a mile before he slowly started falling behind. We drove around and turn a couple more fresh dogs to em and it wasn't long before they had it bayed. I was watching Zack on the garmin and he went back to em . We Turned De'Angelo and my 1 year old female dog, Laura, to em from 160 yards. This was Lauras first hog in the woods also. When we got to them Big D was latched down on one ear and Laura was latched down on the other. It was a nice sow about 200 lbs. Nick legged the hog and I took the opportunity to whoop out my camera and get a couple of pictures. I then stuck her and petted up my two young dogs. We gutter her and loaded up and headed home. Got her cleaned and put in the freezer and got in the bed about 5 am. I was glad to get Nick on a hog and it was a good hunt. Also glad to see my young cur Zack and my young Dogo Laura doing good.
