I believe the best thing for a hunting dog is to come to a hunting home where he can do what he is bred for. Then again, I donīt think a Dogo suffers or is unhappy without being hunted as long as he lives in a good home together with caring owners and - most important - gets enough regular(!)exercise. Speaking from my own experience, I can tell that a Dogo can be an excellent companian for outdoor sport activities or long hiking tours.
Good luck with your new family member, hope you post some pics of him when he arrives.
