still common in Oz, the best are then promptly crossbred to fix the weaknesses showbreeders have put into them.
the guy also has a small black male dane (dogo size) & a small young merle female he plans to breed from. he also is trying to establish a "boarhound" registry of hunting danes only.
from what i know of him he isn't as big a douche as the show makes him look.
