I think we should be able to discuss physicality of the breed - if you look at my personal website you know I"m a field guy - my retrievers won't win show ribbons ever - nor do I appreciate much show type retrievers with lacking field ability, drive, style.
So may I rephrase and have some help in the direction of recognizing correct physical traits, in dogs that meet the standard well AND are proven hunters or:
What great dogos do you like? Dogos that approximate the original intended standard AND are proven in function and hunting (finding, engaging, catching) ability?
I understand and "get" the show focus destruction of breeds - I train and handle retrievers, nobody knows better what the field/show split in those breeds has done to their ability to perform intended original tasks - so can we please talk about our favourite dogos (function and form)...pretty please with a cherry on top?
