Wow, great pictures! Was that in the Argentinean part of the Andes? The place on the shore looks to me quite "lonely" as if you and your family had been the only ones there (at least in the water 
).
So I assume that wasn´t a spot you had to share with dozens of other tourists, right?
And 55 Fahrenheit (12°C) must be very "refreshing".
But I guess the sun in the mountains was intense enough to heat you up before and warm you up after the swim.
