IF I have understood the post correctly then I respectfully disagree, IMPO a good breeder who is attempting to make each generation better ---be it hunting or otherwise is hard person to satisfy.
In my experience with experienced breeders and hunters it seems they are NEVER happy and to be honest that is not a bad trait IF they are trying to produce better each time, dog hunters are no different ---they have HIGH expectations of their animals and that’s the way it should be IMHO---
---they tend to be extremely demanding of themselves and others and that I do not see as a BAD thing---
---Meet any person who has made a significant difference or mark in whatever it is they do whatever field they set their minds at be it military, lawyer, president, nurse, doctor, dog breeder, horse breeder, bull breeder or simple chicken breeder or whatever and they will be this way--- they take it almost personal and very serious about their job ---EXTREMELY DEMANDING and seldom satisfied always reaching for the next higher level---
Just my humble opinion folks.
