Hi Wayne,
How do they know there are no truly special dogos? Sounds to me that the breeders you mention are focused on show results. I am not, and I couldn't for all honesty say if there are whatever they call "truly special" dogos or not.
To me, any dog that simply conforms to standard but has the heart and the skills to be a superior hunter is a truly special dog. But those dogs do not get publicity and are not known worldwide.
