does anyone know if they automatically culled the merles produced from breeding the harl to solid colored dogs? i am curious because, if the harl gene & the associated merle genes stayed, could the deaf & other problem dogs be double merles & the little color that is on doubles be eliminated by other white facter genes from the EBT & pyr?
