Well we are talking about different times. I said that I think that Viejo Perro de Pelea Cordobes was created with blood of Alano Espaņol instead of Mastin Espaņol. Then DOGOMAN told me that Antonio Nores thought that Alano Espaņol was extinct by those days so I asked what times he was talking about, and he finally answered me that 1800 onwards; when it came your post.
I agree with you. Not every place developed in the same level at the same time. Even in Europe some countries developed faster than others (not to mention Central and South America), but I agree that many old Bull & Mastiff breeds despaired in the early to mid 20th century; and several got ruined from 70s on.
