In workingdog circles, there is not really a deadline to breed a dog or b###h. If they have a valuable b###h they will breed her, even when past 9 if they think it is required. One thing is essential in my opinion, en that is for a b###h that she must have had a first litter before 4-5 years, as after this age it gets more risky for a first litter.
For dogs there is no limit at all, it only stops when only powder comes out 
I think it all depends on the condition of the animal(specially for b###hes) or she is still bred or not.
