It's probably as boring as watching a pile oh $h*t for most people but this type of stuff always intrigues me. Yesterday early evening,I went for a walk, alone, in the desert hills around here-I do that 3 times a week at least-and I always see a lot of wildlife.I never knew that there was so much wildlife in the desert-I mean I always thought that the terrain was too tough for most animals to live in(it was 120 degrees Farenheit a few days ago)But I always see a lot of wildlife.I am always exploring new areas every time that I go out-and I find some interesting things. It rained here(I think that it's considered the MONSOON SEASON,now,or if not now, then very soon)on Tuesday.Yesterday I went out and all of the tracks had been washed away and the rain had caused an avalance in one area-this is a dried up riverbed that I walk through sometimes-hard to tell but this is an avalanche-well,of sorts,I guess:
I always look for tracks and I have seen some Puma (Mounatin Lion) TRACKS in this area(have never seen a puma, here,YET) and I usually see some deer(I saw 15 yesterday)when I don't have "Mike" with me. Well(I'm getting "there",sorry)all of the older tracks were washed away-so this had to have been less than 24 hours old(the rain the night before) This a Puma track next to a deer track-this is about 800 yards("as the crow flies") from a golf course, and 100 yards from a main trail-where hikers/tourists walk to see an area with Petroglyphs. I wonder if the deer got away from this, lol.
After I saw this I realized that It was pretty quiet.I walked on farther and then I could smell a musty smell for a few minutes-was weird. But as much as I moved on and looked,I didn't see anything-and then I noticed that it was TOO quiet . It was just starting to get dark, and so I decided to head back, but I kept looking over my shoulder. For some reason I had to drink LOTS of Tequila, when I got home
