AB,
In warm weather when walking Brigus, I always carry a pouch of ice/water mix and a thermometer. However, because of the heat and humidity factor, he doesn't get to go walking in the summer months.
According to my vet, immediately getting them out of the sun, pouring water over them, and most importantly applying an ice pack directly to the abdomen area is one of the quickest ways to bring their temps down. Keep monitoring their temps with a thermometer as well.
Sorry to hear about that, but I'm glad Mike's ok.
