I echo Dads post 100%.
I have had a few dogos in front of me for ring work.
I also have not been able to title one. So my hat is tipped to those very few who have. Present company included.
My original attraction to Dogos was born at a ringsport trial. I competed alongside of Ringsports all time top Dogo, Gator.
In fact Gator placed directly beside my Axel de Lison (mal)1,2. There were quite a few dogs entered at that level, that day in the California dessert.
I had the pleasure of trialing twice with Gator and Carrolyn in the same level.
Both times I was in awe of this dog and it's power and control of decoys.
Sport work with a Dogo is not easy to obtain. Protection work is easier. Natural protection.
I am very lucky in that I have Poncho and Steve T close at hand. Been there with Poncho in a fight with a boar.
This is where a Dogo excells and without question. Portrays genetics.
Good luck to anyone who has the inclination to sport train a Dogo. Not an easy task.
What is easy to work with.
Try messing with a Dogos Human Family.
ouch.
