Those movies appropriately scared the bejeebers out of me when I was a kid - even the campy ones like "I Was a Teenage Werewolf" (did Michael Landon EVER live that role down????).
When I got old enough to THINK I could watch them all the way through, BOOM! - I saw "Nosferatu" ... nightmares for a week!
Now I absolutely LOVE those old horror flicks - the new "buckets of blood" films don't do a thing for me, but put on one of those campy 30s, 40s, or 50s creepfests and I'm there!
