I've reconnected with a bunch of my Upstate cousins (ah, the joys of the "social networking" sites!!), one of whom is a DJ/Wedding Consultant throughout the NYCap region - including at the Gideon Putnam. He just sent a clip of some of his pre-ceremony stuff from a wedding at the Otesaga (sp?) hotel on the lake in Cooperstown - says their indoor space is similar to the Arches at the Putnam, just bigger. LOL I'm SO glad the venerable Putnam never fell prey to the wrecking ball ... 'twould have been a crime! I remember going to summer stock productions in the little jewel box of a theatre there.
