Dennis, I and the spouses just got back from an 11 day cruise in the Mediterranean. We flew out of JFK to Barcelona and boarded the ship there. Among the places visited were Athens, Cyprus, Malta, Rhodes, Palermo and best of all, the Pyramids in Cairo, egypt. We did not get as much rest as we usually do on cruises due to the busy tour schedules but it was worth seeing. Malta and Rhodes were very pretty. The Pyramids were humbling. It makes you realize that your life is only a blink in the eons of time. Cairo, itself, was a pig sty. We have never seen so much wall to wall garbage and trash in the streets. You would have to see it to comprehend the scope. It would make India look like a National Park!
The weather was pleasant and just a tad cool for those climes at this time of year. Smooth seas made for nice travel. Now we are faced with the back to reality of grass cutting etc. Yet we will not let that interfere with researching for thatth next cruise. And the sooner, the better!
