I just finished re-reading "Exodus" yesterday - it had been a number of years since the last time I'd read it, and although I knew it was a powerful book, I had forgotten just how powerful. It knocked me on my ass.
That being said, my favorite Leon Uris book is "Mila 18", and it's back on my must-read-again list as a result of having read "Exodus". I'll have to search the shelves of the local used book store for a copy, as mine apparently disappeared in a move some time or other.
I'm currently reading "The Historian" by Elizabeth Kostova, and so far I like it very much. It's a kind of creepy quasi-history/quasi-mystery involving a scholar's unbidden quest into the Vlad Tepes/Dracula legends. What's not to love?!
So - what's gotten you turning pages these days?
