Hapy Hump Day on this sunny, sticky, NE Flarrider morning!
Good news - marine biologists are seeing a pretty dramatic increase in the numbers of both bottlenose dolphins and manatees hereabouts - always a good sign of a healthier environment. It's such a hoot to sit on a dock and feed lettuce to the manatees - and they LOVE to get a drink from a hose. One of the perks of Flarrider living - manatee watching! I'd love to know for sure that the wake-making critters in the quiet, tree-shaded creek behind my office are manatees rather than gators - I'd be more amenable to a creekside picnic now and then.
