Posted by Dave Ring Ok here it is. I've heard a rumor that the Atoc points race next year is going to be the weekend after the Richmond National event. The weekend after that would be the Dutch. Now does anyone think that with the history of rain in the fall in the northeast that we will actually be able to get all three races as scheduled. Hell this year we had four races (two point and two national events) scheduled in five weeks. And here it is on Monday, three weeks after the last of these races was supposed to be finished, that we are finally getting it done. Of course, they are doing it with about only half the cars that were entered on friday and and even than that if you consider that some racers looked at the weather forecast and said, like hell I'm going to waste time and money going to a race that isn't likely to be finished by Sunday. I know that the NHRA has no control over Mother Nature, but why do the schedule makers continously temp her to screw things up by setting up the schedule that they do.

I've been complaining so much lately that I ought to change my name to Taylor-not after Jeff, but after an upstate NY winemaker.
