I have never seen that and if NHRA keeps adding classes there will be index hits. If the weather at all the races would be the same then there would not be a problem with the indexes getting adjusted. I wasn't trying to argue of this forum because that seems to be the way of most that get on here. Maybe if NHRA would let you run only 1 class a year everyone would try to save thier index. David Rammpy is a good example of that. He tries to protect his index even at taking a loss.

No I don't mean to say only slower teams go to these conditions, but when they do they are not use to adding weight or letting off to only win by a short margin. I have seen indexes get hit even on a red light.
