I can see that quite a few Comp racers are against imports coming out to compete. Why? "Oh, because they oil down the track." That's funny. I guess that V-8's don't ever have problems and oil the track down? We've been racing for years and have oiled the track down one time. What people need to realize is that most oil downs that come from imports, come from ROTORY powered imports. So far, no rotaries allowed in Comp. I can't believe that some racers don't have understanding for new and different combinations. 4 cylinder engines have made major advances in the past 15 years. Yes, there are some oildowns, but that's with ANY racing. There are many many professional teams that race with import or other 4 and 6 cylinder engines that make it down the track, and are competitive. I don't expect a lot of racers to accept us, but we're going to come out, attempt to compete, and have some fun. Judging by some of the previous posts, there are people who are really riled up about the investments they've made, as well they should be. Maybe we should stop with the personal attacks and try to concentrate on making Comp a better class as a whole!
