I believe the main reason most of us that are against new classes is becouse 90% of the time the new indexes are way to soft.ALL of the "power adder" classes that have been added were way off and I dont want to name those classes we all know which ones im talking about.But lets talk about some of the classes that have brought in like B/ND,H/EA,I/SMA and I/SM just to name a few.Why haven't many people raised hell about these classes,well I belive its becouse the indexes are real close to where the should have started at.These classes (with a little effort) are -60 under classes but in my opinion are not effortlesly -90 under,thats why you dont see people flocking to them.
Heres the deal,get the new indexes a little more fair to the guys who have been racing for 20 years in established classes and we might be more acceptable to more classes (but isnt there enough already?)being brought in.
Most of us that work at an established class for years have a real issue with being put out buy a guy,with a brand new index that was missed by about 3 tenths.I REALLY belive that we need new technology (i.e. fuel injection,turbos,centrifigal blowers ect.)but I dont want to see our 6 digit investment in a car be deemed uncompetive due to a commitee missing the boat,our just not doing enough research (AA/SM)
Get the indexes right and you have no flack,miss them and you get this B.S. its that simple.Remember when 60 under was earned and not given!In done crying now.
