There is nothing wrong with running a 500" engine combination in B/A @ 2700lbs. The only thing that we ever had a problem with was the ring and pinion not lasting very long, but we took care of that. When we ran 7.09 at Joliet, 3 years ago, there was still more left in the run. It should have gone a 7.04 - 7.05. Now take a current 500" engine @ 2700lbs. and i feel that you should be able to run 6.90. Dom, how are you goung to stop someone from getting a current engine and putting it into a car just to do some testing for an engine builder and they go out and destroy the index? When I ran Morgan motors we always had his worse piece, #8 out of 8. Even if you limited the style of car to one that is outdated for Pro Stock right now, that would not stop someone from doing what i said. We could take one of Morgans current pieces and drop it in a Neon and be real close to what the pros are running right now.
