you can LISTEN to him saying what I am posting below... CAN YOU AFFORD THIS? I SURE CANT!!!
In a radio interview on January 17, 2008 with the San Francisco Chronicle, Sen. Obama described his energy plan, saying "So if somebody wants to build a coal-powered plant, they can; it's just that it will bankrupt them because they're going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that's being emitted."
In another clip from the same interview, Obama goes even further, stating, "Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket."
So... in these tough economic times, Obama not only wants to force coal workers to lose their jobs, but he wants energy prices to skyrocket for all Americans. So much for so-called middle-class tax relief... it will all go to paying the family electricity bill! But then again, Obama will simply tax the "rich" even more, and give away more money to others. Of course, this will mean that the so-called "rich" guy won't be able to hire the extra worker or will have to raise prices on the goods he sells. It's basic economics that socialist Obama simply doesn't understand.
