But who will it hurt more to raise the tax by 2-3% ? Will the person making $250k still be able to send his kid to college if they raise his tax to 18% ? Will the person making $20K (who cant afford to send his kid to college now) be able to send his kid to college if his tax goes to 18% ?
We have a graduated tax system right now, and all this hoopla is about raiseing the rich people tax a few more percentage points !

I've always heard only 2 people dont pay taxes...the very very rich and the very very poor!
I make very little in my retirement and I still pay taxes.........and taking another 2-3% would really hurt me while if I made $250K a year....hell take another 2-3% and have a nice day !
BTW, the web is very public and many have used the name Hussein including many on the web sites we vist.....I have not heard of anyone here getting pounced on or arrested have you ?
I'm thinking all of this is overblown by the media and is BS. I know a few people that have come right out and said they will never vote for a black president (they used the other word but I'll be nice) at least they are being truthfull and not looking in corners or under rocks looking for reasons not to vote for Obama.
