Posted by vix on 10/6/2007, 2:40 pm, in reply to "Re: Liakopoulos Recall" I just went through surgeries number 4 and 5 on this very messed up neck, think I have the xrays posted on this site even (was testing out posting pix and that is what I picked since so many were asking me about it)... I cannot pick up anything with ANY weight to it, doesnt matter what it is, my son doesnt understand, he is only 5 and differently abled, and weighs about 33 pounds (is also very short but that is a trait of Down Syndrome). Lifting a gallon of milk is a task that is hard right now. If this person really did have neck problems, he would not be able to lift bundles of magazines or newspapers... I had to wear a neck brace for three months this time, and wear it off an on when my dang neck gets tired (doc said about a year in healing this time and man oh man I know that wasnt a lie!). I got some really rude comments when I had it on, then sometimes would tell them to look thru the holes and check out the bright red healing six inch scar on the front of my neck (the forth time there) and the about 9 inch one on the back of my neck (first time there) and they then would ask me what all I have had done... for the most part they were sincere in their questions and even the comments, because so many DO fake neck injuries. AND THAT PIZZES me off. heck, I have a rough time vacuuming my dang carpets, am usually crying in pain and going for the pain meds by the time I am done. Fakkers pizz me off......... vix
mmmm re the neck thing...
Trust me, if you have a messed up neck, you dont run around lifting anything that weighs more than about five pounds and then you dont lift that five pounds over and over again (tossing bundles of newspapers is hard work, if he can do that he isnt disabled)...![]()
