I just wanted to point out that even in this day and age, when mental illness is supposed to be less stigmatized and generally more understood, how shocking it is to me to see it portrayed on TV as "craziness", something to be approached with ridicule, condescension and fear.
It surprises me when I see someone playing a person with mental illness who so obviously has never had any contact with mental illness in the real world.
When actors/actresses take on other roles, I imagine that they do extensive research, but when it comes to playing a mentally ill individual, it seems as though they just don't get it!!
This website provides some education to a world which is sorely in need of some...
