I totally agree! I for one enjoy Budd's creativity with the Universal monsters and having Meriem in a setting other than the jungle. Besides it's only temporary as Kevin has stated. As for his release schedule, people need to remember not only is he a self published independent creator, but Budd also does the pencilling, lettering, inking & coloring all by himself! Even bigshots like Jim Lee & J. Scott Campbell, who only pencils and worked for DC, Marvel & Image Comics, can't even get a book out on a consistent basis. Count me as one who likes Meriem's appearance more now than when the series began in '94.
