I just bought the new Jungle Tales-3 (nude cover) from somebody on eBay thinking it was the only way I could get it, but it looks like I should have gotten it from Bud Plant ($3.75 instead of $24.95) - was I really stupid? And should I get all the back issues of Pangaean Seas next, etc. I am not in the least bit interested in anything not penned and painted by Budd. I've got a life-long interest in art history, and he's Picasso and Matisse and O'Keeffe, in this arena, as far as I'm concerned. The others who do Meriem are simply not relevant, since they didn't create her. (Although I've got the hubris to try to design my own version of her in a few months, once I've relearned the anatomy I used to know back in art school, a hundred years ago). 'Nuff said, I guess. Oh yeah - are pages 29-32 of Jungle Tales 1 supposed to be faint, or did they run out of ink on those pages? I think she's supposed to be in the waterfall, so maybe it's misty. Just got JT1 and JT2 from Amryl today.

I'm one. To Budd and Meriem and her clan. Am just a couple of months into knowing anything about them, so I have a lot of catching up to do. It appears that you guys have about ten years on me.
I'm not even much of a comic book person, although pinups have lit a fire under me since the fifties, and Budd has inherited and blended every iconic femme (from Bettie Page and Daisy Mae to Heidi Klum and Eva Longoria) into something uniquely sweet and erotic.
