Looking for descendants of David Norman Gillet b. 2 Aug 1803 at Westfield, Hampden Co., MA: d. Aug 1893 at Union City, Branch Co., MI. Married 11 Nov 1827 at Florida, Berkshire Co., MA to Betsey Nelson (daughter of Luther Nelson): Betsey was born in 1808 at Southwick, MA. and died at her son's (Dr. Giles Gillett) home in Hinckley, Ohio.
1. Darius Gillett, b. 22 Sept 1828 at Sand Lake, Rensselaer Co., NY. Died 6 Jan 1829 at Sand Lake, NY.
2. Sophronia Gillett, b. 14 Dec 1829 at Florida, Berkshire Co., MA. Married a Capt Sims and had children George and Jenny Sims.
3. Ann Louisa Gillett, b. 23 Feb 1831 at Florida, Berkshire Co., MA.
4. Flora Gillett, b. 4 Feb 1832 at Rowe, Franklin Co., MA. Flora married a --------Searles and had no children.
5. Seth Gillet, b. 29 Nov 1833 at Royalton, Cuyahoga Co., OH. d. 31 Jan 1889 at Big Rock, Montmorency Co., MI.
6. Miles Gillett, b. 10 Apr 1835 at Royalton, Cuyahoga, OH. d. Apr 1928 at his farm house in Ingham Co., MI. married Phoebe A. Dustin 28 Mar 1859. They had 5 children - Burton M. - David Commodore - Olive Lavina - Hattie Argania - Clarence Howard.
7. Ralph Gillett, b. 27 Apr 1836 at Eaton, Lorain, OH. and die there 12 Jun 1838.
8. Mary Gillett, b. 8 Jun 1837 at Eaton, OH. Married Nathan Spicer on 17 Jun 1858.
9. Levi Gillet, b. 17 Sep 1839 at Eaton, OH. Married Mary
Whitney, b. abt 1840 in NY. They had 3 children - Mary - Louella - Edith.
10. Dr. Giles S. Gillett, b. 7 May 1841 in Eaton, OH. d. 1931 at Painsville, OH. (Was a country doctor at Hinckley, OH). Married Rachel Baldwin 9 Jan 1868 at Milwaukee, WI. She was born at Boston, England, 30 Mar 1847 and also died in Painsville. They had 5 children - Rev. David N. - Lida - Ada-Reuel S. - Ralph.
11. Joseph Gillett, b. 5 Sep 1842 in Eaton, OH., and died there on 8 Aug 1843.
12. Smith Gillet, b. 1 Feb 1844 in Eaton, OH. d. in 1922 at Pottersville, MI.
13. Ellen Gillett, b. 7 Mar 1845 at Ridgeville, Lorain Co., OH.
Married George Emmet Inman in 1865/1866.
14. Clark Gillett, b. 9 Jul 1848 at Eaton, OH. d. 28 Apr 1907 at Hesperia, MI. Wife was Clarinda Austin (b. 27 Dec 1850 and d. 7 Jul 1913). Clark had 4 children - Fannie - Sidney - Harry Jay - Ray Clark. (I have extensive records for Clark and his family as I descend through Clark and Ray Clark Gillett.)
