My grandparents lived in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was William John Gillet (1876-1949) and married Mary Rypens (1875-1957), He had two brothers, Alva and Glen, and a sister, Fanny Kelly. His father was John Gillett, his mother Emma Harris. Family legend says three Gillett brothers came from Belgium.
I'd love to have more information about where and why they came to this country.
