My connection to the Gillette Family is through my maternal great grandmother. Here is some of what I've learned and would love to share with any of my cousins.
-Annie Laura Gillette, born April 13, 1883; died October 10, 1965 in Newtown, Fairfield County, CT. She was the daughter of George Henry Gillette and Mattie Bradshaw Smith. She married Edward James Ranslow June 14, 1905.
--George Henry Gillette, born July 16, 1853 in New Preston, Litchfield, CT; died September 29, 1925 in Salisbury, Litchfield, CT. He was the son of Henry Stebbins Gillette and Laura Ann Baldwin. He married Mattie Bradshaw Smith May 06, 1878.
---Henry Stebbins Gillette, born July 08, 1823; died July 17, 1895. He was the son of William Gillette and Julia Antoinette Beach. He married Laura Ann Baldwin December 17, 1843.
----William Gillette, born August 28, 1795; died November 08, 1831. He was the son of Sylvester Gillette and Mary Owens. He married Julia Antoinette Beach 1823.
-----Sylvester Gillette, born 1769; died 1829. He was the son of Abraham Gillette. He married Mary Owens.
------Abraham Gillette, born 1737. He was the son of Abraham Gillette and Abigail Prindle.
