Have any of you Gillett(e)s ever heard of Leon Gillett? He was killed escaping from the Lake County (MI) jail in June of 1930. He was my grandfather. His father and mother were William (Big Bill), and Derona (Davis) Gillett. I believe Leon was born in the Chicago area in the summer of 1900. His wife's name was Dorothy (my grandmother) and they had 2 children, Arthur (my father) and Norma (my aunt: deceased). If anyone has any info. please drop me an e-mail.
