Hello, I have a Richard Gillett who is the constable for Trinity, Newfoundland in 1730. We can not seem to find anyone who matches the time frame in Western England, so we are trying a new avenue. Could a Richard have come up to Nfld. from the USA? Perhaps his family stopping off in Nova Scotia first. I have found a will for a Richard Gylett of Caudle Haddon, Dorset 1551, it mentions that his two sons, Richard and William are heading for New England. Has anyone tried to trace this branch of Gilletts? Thank you for your time, Denise
