Habiathia Pye was Rev. William's wife name (ref: Gillett Pride - n- Joy, Volume 15, Number 1).
Rev. William Gylett, rector of the Anglican Church at Chaffcombe, Somerset, England.
William was the Rector of the Chaffcombe Parish, Somersetshire, England.on Feb 4, 1609. He died early in 1641 and his will was proved on the 16th of April of that year. (The New York Genealogy and Geographical Record of Oct 1910, pp. 182-283, gives clues from English Archives contributing to American Gen. and it lists "Will of William Gyllett of Chaffcombe, Co. Somerset, dated 1641. Had a brother mentioned in his will by the name of Richard.
William wrote his will in 1641. It was proved 16 Apr. 1641. The 2 Apr. 1641 inventory showed the estate to be worth £259/14/8, which included £13/6/8 for silver plate and an equal sum for books. In his will William referred to land which his son Nathan had made over to him by letter of attorney. To all his children in England he gave two silver spoones apiece. Beneficiaries were his children William, Thomas, Jeremiah, Habiah and Mary. Overseers were Joseph Greenfield, Mr. Luffe, brother Richard and kinsman Henry Hutchins.
