Ron, thank you for responding. I have a copy of the book by Esther Gillet Latham, and Sue Bayton had sent me info on the Gillet Line that takes it way back. I'm especially interested in documented proof that Amos had a son named Amos by his second wife, Esther Bishop, and if Esther remarried. Amos Jr. was born a month after his father died. Almira was only 8. And don't you find it odd that Amos and Esther would name their first child together after his first wife? And did Esther raise the children of his first wife? So far, I have found no record of any children born to Abisha, son of Amos Sr. and first wife, Almira, and half-brother to my Amos. (Actually, he's my husband's Amos) Amos, Jr. is his third g-grandfather and the "progenitor of the Ohio Gillets of Trumbull County". What line do you descend from? Thanks again for responding.
