Posted by lynda I am informing you that there is an auction current on ebay having to do with the family name "Gillette" and also the engraved initials of "GG". The family is said to be from New York. The auctioneer says that these items were boxed for the past ten years. Some items incredibly early dates. I was researching the name on an engraved spoon and came upon your site. Anyway you may want to take a peak at the auction or you may already know about it. Just thought I'd inform. My family found out late that my Aunt's estate was in an auction house in Northern NJ, we raced (From MD) and had to bid on our heritage. Happily,I have some of my Great Grandfather's antiquities.
