The Gillette surname project is looking for participants. It is located at www.ftdna.com and currently we have the results in for two different Gillettes. With more participants, genetic closeness of the different Gillette lines of descent can be determined. The first two participants (myself and another individual) are not closely related. The results indicate that our most recent common ancestor lived approximately 2000 years ago.
